Through the quote form you tell us which product you're looking for, how many elements are involved and which colour you have in mind. You can also attach photos or a drawing. We'll then contact you to discuss the options and planning.

Is a quote without obligation?

Yes. A quote and the advisory conversation are free and non-binding. Only once you approve do we schedule the final measuring and production.

Question 3

What do new window frames, doors or a sliding door cost?

The price depends on the number of elements, the dimensions, the profile system, the glazing, the colour and the hardware. You'll always receive a tailored quote with a clear specification, so you know exactly what you're paying for.

What's included in the price?

As standard we include delivery, installation, finishing the connections and removing the old material. What is and isn't included is always stated explicitly in the quote.

Do I also get advice on what best suits my home?

Certainly. Based on your home type, orientation and wishes, we advise on profile, colour, glass and layout. Still unsure? Use the selection tool on the site for an initial direction.

Can I pay in instalments?

We work with a deposit on commissioning and the remaining payment after completion. We set out the exact payment terms in advance in the order confirmation.

Does Kozenta work with Schüco?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with Schüco systems, including Schüco Living 120 for the highest insulation and comfort requirements and Schüco CT 70 as a versatile five-chamber system for window frames, doors and sliding doors.

What is the difference between Schüco CT 70 and Living 120?

Accepted Answer

CT 70 is a five-chamber system with a 70 mm installation depth and excellent value for money. Living 120 has a greater installation depth, thicker glazing and higher insulation values — ideal for new-build, sustainable renovation or passive-house ambitions.

Why uPVC instead of wood or aluminium?

Accepted Answer

uPVC insulates excellently, never needs painting and lasts for decades. Wood needs periodic maintenance, aluminium is slimmer but more expensive. Want a wood look? That's possible with a foil finish on uPVC.

Which colours are possible?

Accepted Answer

Including white, cream, anthracite, black and various wood looks. Inside and outside can differ, for example white on the inside and anthracite on the outside. Other RAL colours are possible on request.

Which glass can I choose?

Accepted Answer

As standard we use HR++ glass; triple glazing is possible for the highest insulation value. Sound-reducing, solar-control, safety and privacy glass are also available.

Is triple glazing always the best choice?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. Triple glazing insulates better but is heavier and lets in slightly less solar heat. It's often worthwhile for a well-insulated home or a north-facing façade; in other situations HR++ is the smarter investment. We're happy to work through it with you.

What is the difference between a sliding door and French doors?

A sliding door takes up no floor space and is ideal for openings wider than 200 cm. French doors suit narrower openings better and give a more classic look.

Can insect screens, roller shutters or sun screens be included?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Insect screens, roller shutters and sun screens can be included directly in the design, so the fixings are prepared neatly and everything looks finished as one whole.

Are the measurements taken on site?

Yes. Before production starts, we come to check the measurements and the situation on site. This prevents surprises during installation.

How long does installation take?

For an average terraced house we're usually busy for one to two days. For a single element or one sliding door it's often half a day. We agree on the planning with you in advance.

What is the lead time?

From the final measuring, expect a few weeks of production time, depending on the system, colour and season. You'll get a concrete estimate with the order confirmation.

Can I stay in the house during the work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work façade by façade or element by element, so the house isn't open longer than necessary and you can simply stay at home.

Is the brickwork and plaster finished neatly?

The connections are finished airtight and neatly sealed. We discuss repair of any damaged plaster or tiling inside in advance, so you know what to expect.

Do you take away the old material?

Yes. We remove old window frames, doors and glass and have them processed separately. We leave the work area swept clean.

Can I have just one window frame replaced?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Both a single window frame and all the frames of a home are possible. For a partial replacement we pay extra attention to matching the connection and colour to the existing situation.

Do I need a permit?

Accepted Answer

For replacement in the same size and appearance, a permit usually isn't needed. For a protected townscape, listed building, or enlarging an opening, that can be different — we're happy to think along about what's required.

How much do I save with new window frames?

Accepted Answer

If you replace single glazing or old double glazing with HR++ or triple, heat loss through the façade drops considerably. Besides the savings, you'll mainly notice a difference in comfort: less cold draught, less draught in general and a more stable indoor temperature.

Do new window frames help against noise nuisance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. With double continuous sealing and sound-reducing glass, a significant reduction is possible — often the biggest noticeable difference near a busy road or flight path.

What about burglary resistance?

Our doors and opening sections are fitted with multi-point locking and certified hardware, in line with the requirements of the Police Safe Living quality mark. On request we deliver to resistance class RC2.

Do I qualify for subsidy?

When installing insulating glass in an existing home, the ISDE subsidy is often possible, provided the insulation values and surface-area requirements are met. We're happy to explain which conditions apply to your situation.

Does better insulation cause moisture or condensation?

Accepted Answer

An airtight façade requires good ventilation. That's why, with replacement, we always advise on ventilation grilles or mechanical extraction, so moisture is removed and condensation is avoided.

Do new window frames increase the value of my home?

New window frames with insulating glass generally improve the energy label and give the façade a sleek look — both factor into valuation and sale.

What warranty do I get?

You get a warranty on profiles, glazing, hardware and installation. The exact terms per component are stated in the quote and the order confirmation.

How much maintenance do uPVC window frames need?

Accepted Answer

Painting isn't necessary. Periodic cleaning with water and a mild cleaning agent is enough; lubricate the hardware once or twice a year and check the seals.

Do uPVC window frames discolour in the sun?

Accepted Answer

Quality profiles are UV-stable and colourfast. Dark colours and wood looks are finished with foils specifically developed for outdoor use.

What if something doesn't close properly after installation?

Then we adjust it. Doors and opening sections can settle; a short adjustment visit is normal and is covered by our service.
